My video is larger than 100MB
Some videos recorded from webcam are larger than 100MB, the maximum allowed by Youtube. If yours end up being larger than 100MB, Youtube will show you an error message when trying to upload it. You can do one of the following:
- Instead of Uploading as regularly, choose the "Multivideo Uploader"
You will be prompted to download a small file in your computer, from where you will be able to upload the video. - You can also CONVERT the video into an .mp4 file, which makes ir much lighter for Internet uploading. There are many freeware programs (or even trial versions); I personally use SUPER: Go to http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html.
a) Click on "Start Downloading SUPER© right now and discover this fully featured Multimedia Freeware" at the bottom.
b) In the next page, click on "SUPER © is a FREE Multimedia software to download and use" below the box in the middle of the page.
c) Then in this new site click on "Download SUPER© setup file from official site 3" at the bottom".
It will prompt you to save the .exe file to your computer. Save and install.
Getting to know how to use it might take you from 5 minutes to 1 hours, depending on how tech savvy you are.
This program has converted a 1.1 Gb .avi video of mine to a 46Mb .mp4 file keeping the same quality! - You can also try to SPLIT the video into 2 files instead of converting. Yamb is a free program that allows you to split .mov, .mp4 and other video extension (if you use this option, download the "Yamb-2.0.0.8 with installer; the second option, which includes all necessary files)
